Dr. Christine Dregalla, DDS

Dr. Christine Dregalla is originally from Gordon, NE. She has a passion for providing dentistry to the rural communities in northeast Nebraska that started at a young age. She spent a lot of time at the orthodontist early on, which piqued her interest in dentistry. She knew from an early age that she wanted to help people and made it her goal to do that through the dental field.

Dr. Degralla has been the dentist in Pender since 2006, and she bought the practice in 2009 when it became Dregalla Family Dentistry. Helping people, getting to know her patients on a personal level, working with her close-knit team, continually learning, and helping people live their healthiest lives are the best parts of the job for her.
When she's not caring for patients, Dr. Dregalla enjoys spending time with her family. Her husband is the instrumental music teacher at Pender public schools. They have two young boys - Marcus and Colby - that keep them on their toes. She also loves to attend live music events, read, spend time outside, and of course, cheer on the Nebraska Huskers.

Wendy , RDH

Hygienist

Wendy is a native Nebraskan from West Point and has been serving Northeast Nebraska as a registered dental hygienist for 35 years. She joined Dregalla Family Dentistry in 2023 and has thoroughly enjoyed witnessing — and utilizing — the many advancements in dental care over the course of her career.

Wendy and her husband farm near West Point, where they raised their four children. She’s loved watching them grow into confident, capable young adults.

Outside the dental clinic, Wendy enjoys spending time with her family, helping on the farm, reading, sewing, gardening, and going for walks.

“I have enjoyed joining Dr. Dregalla and her amazing staff in providing the best dental care with compassion,”

Karen , RDH

Hygienist

Ever since seventh grade, Karen knew she wanted to be a dental hygienist. Originally from Beemer, Nebraska, she has been practicing for 41 years and joined Dregalla Family Dentistry in 2021. Karen says, “I’ve never worked a day in my life, because I love what I get to do.”

Karen and her husband have five children and four grandchildren — with hopes for more in the future! Outside of work, Karen enjoys playing tennis, baking pies, tending to her flower garden, cheering on Husker volleyball, and challenging herself with daily New York Times word puzzles. She's also a serious Scrabble competitor, playing five to seven games a day.

“Dregalla Family Dentistry is a true hidden gem among dental offices. We deliver exceptional dentistry in a fun, relaxing setting.”

Ayrn

Front Desk Coordinator/Dental Assistant

Ayrn is originally from Sioux City, IA, but she's lived in Pender since 2013. She's been with Dregalla Family Dentistry since 2017, and the best part of her job is creating relationships with her patients. She loves meeting new patients. She also appreciates her close-knit co-workers.

When she's not at the dental office, she enjoys being with family as much as possible.

Michelle

Dental Assistant

Michelle is originally from Minnesota, and she moved to Oakland, NE in 2018. She joined the Dregalla Family Dentistry team in 2019 and loves working with patients. Raising a child with special needs has helped her to become more understanding of others, and has taught her some creative problem-solving skills that she brings to the dental office.

She also takes a lot of pride in the work of restoring beautiful smiles. Michelle finds it very satisfying to see the "before" and "after."

When she's not taking care of patients, Michelle stays very busy. She's involved with a student exchange program that entails matching students from around the world with local families. Working with this program has allowed her to travel around the USA and to Spain, Sweden, Norway, and Germany.

She also loves spending her spare time doing genealogy, and she occasionally teaches community ed classes to help others with their own family histories.

She's very involved with her church, where her husband is the pastor. And she has four grown children (young adults).

No more dreading the dentist

Thank you for making my first visit back to a dentist in years an enjoyable experience. I was so nervous about the visit and felt like a huge weight was lifted when I left. No more dreading the dentist-you ladies knocked it out of the park!
